Reverend Eric R. Arnout, Parochial VicarReverend Eric R. Arnout was raised in St. Clair, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, the second child of Samuel (deceased) and Bernadette Andes Arnout. Father Arnout has an older brother, Christopher Arnout, who is married to wife Kelli. His younger sister Amy is married to Albert Tirpak, and they have children named Matthew and Rebecca. Father Arnout attended Saint Mary's Parochial School in St. Clair, Pennsylvania and Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville, Pennsylvania graduating in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary at Overbrook in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania in 1991 and then attended the inaugural Spirituality Year at Mary Immaculate Seminary in Northampton, Pennsylvania. Father Arnout completed his four years of theological studies at Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland receiving a Master of Divinity degree. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on 1 June 1996 at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena in Allentown, Pennsylvania by the deceased former bishop of the Diocese of Allentown, Thomas J. Welsh. Father Arnout has served the following parishes in the Diocese of Allentown including Saint Thomas More, Allentown; Saints Simon and Jude, Bethlehem; Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Whitehall; and, Sacred Heart, Bethlehem. He arrived at the Cathedral Parish in July 2008. |
