Cathedral Students attend World Youth Day

Nine students from Cathedral participated in the World Youth Day U.S.A. held October 24, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bethlehem. Students from eight schools from three diocesan deaneries spent the day learning about the Corporal Works of Mercy, and put them into action in "service to others." A few of the activities:
- Students wrote letters to prisoners in Lehigh County, encouraging them in their faith.
- Students make baby blankets for the Catholic Social Agency.
- There was a tremendous spread of love for Mary - students made Rosary Beads to be distributed to the poor, local churches, nursing homes.
- The students made eye glass casses for the elderly in hospitals.
- Trick or Treat bags for Kid's Peace were assembled. The students had a wonderful, faith-filled day.
